<p>Got out today ahead of the storm to do a little looking, a little fishing and worked on some YouTube stuff il try to have out by tomorrow.</p><p><br></p><p>Bait for me was up on the flats this morning there were schools of good sized gizzard shad crusing on 10-11ft of water.</p><p><br></p><p>Fishing i focused on water from 15ft to 4 ft</p><p><br></p><p>Finished the day with 18fish over the rails of the G3 with a few good ones in the mix!</p>

We started the day with some classic fishing techniques, working different areas of the lake to find where the fish were holding. It didn't take long before the rods started bending, and we were into some nice Blue catfish. These fish really put up a fight, making strong runs and testing our drag. It was an absolute blast getting them in the boat. We kept at it, mixing up our approaches and trying different spots, and the action stayed steady all day. Had another father and son trip on High Rock Lake today. Today's mission was to fill the coolers so that's exactly what we did. It was pretty cool to be a part of there yearly two day fishing trip. Man i never take days like these for granted. Set out to keep up with the fish I found on Friday not sure how the bite would be, with all the fronts and rain etc, only constant has been warm. Bait is still at Flat swamp but took a little bit to dial them in.<div><br></div><div>After that I had action from 830 to 230, multiple doubles almost some tripples, and lots of quality fish in the mix. <p>I originally had a trip planned for today, but with the potential for rain and 30mph winds we rescheduled. With that being said I had already planned to fish so....</p><p><br></p><p>Started the day in the deep end,&nbsp; if your looking for shad one throw of the Fishin Fuel 10ft net,( taped) In 40ft of water will load you up near flat swamp.</p><p><br></p><p>I have not been in over three weeks, between the cold, snow and Ice there were a lot of good fish in the deep end, but with so much bait productivity was at a minimum.</p><p><br></p><p>With the few warm days and low water I made a switch and fished 2-10ft today and it paid off big time, put a total of 30 blue Cats and a few channels in the boat.&nbsp; Lots of these were quality fish to. All were released to get bigger!</p><p><br></p><p>Warmest water today 44 degrees</p>

What a great day out on the lake with the crew from Cats on the Rock Guide Service! April Gregory and her family joined me for a 4-hour fishing trip at the Tamarac Marina, and we had a wonderful time.

What a great day we had out on the water with Joanne and the Cats on the Rock Guide Service team! The conditions were perfect for our 4-hour fishing trip at the Tamarac Marina. 

We had a lot of fun targeting channel cats using a variety of techniques like Trolling, Bait Casting, Heavy Tackle, and Drift Fishing. <div>Been a minute since I have been able to get on the water. My last day out was minimal water movement and water temps in the 80's fast forward to Today after lots of water moving through I saw Temps at 67.3 in the back of 2nd creek at 5am. Main lake 75, 77.6 when we left. Key in on bait fish movement this time of year and you can have some great days. We used Gizzard shad and Carp for bait today. ( Bait was 3ft-18ft l) in the the long coves inside the bigger creeks.  I had my good Buddy Adam out with me today, been years in the making!!  It was worth the wait We put 27 nice catfish over the rails and left a few. That did not make the ride to the boat. Almost prime time just need some more colder days!!</div>

9-25<div><br></div><div>Met up with Sean Starling today to chase some Catfish and that's what we did. Chased all over the lake again. We finally found some and Dialed in the bite from 14-21ft. Shallower or deeper they would not bite( for us) ended the day with 14fish no monsters today but some good ones. Water still 78 once we get low 70s things should really pick up.</div>

<div>This lake will make you work from one day to the next. Fridays trip was shallow and today we probably covered 8-10 miles to put 15 fish in the boat but they were quality fish. Water temps pushed back into the 80's 🥵🥵🥵 so everything was out of whack today. Bait was 4ft yesterday and pushed out to 15ft lake levels dropped 1.5ft and no water moving until after lunch. No problem we will work hard to put fish in the boat for you!!</div><div>Piscifun</div>

<div>Man we had a great day on the water today I had "Squirrel " and crew on the boat. He had one goal to get his fiance on some big fish prior today 5lb channel cat was it.  Things changed up from yesterday go figure, we bounced from spot to spot covering a ton of water and finally found some fish. We had 13 fish in the boat by 2:00 feeling good about the spot we found I asked of they wanted to give it one more hour and BAM biggest fish of the day 32lbs hits and she did a great job getting that big dude to the boat only for it to come unhooked at the boat, but I was ready with the net and one scoop we were able to land him. Fishing is a fun game, just goes to show you gotta keep moving to find active fish. It paid off today these folks were happy and that's all that matters!!</div>

<div>Man it felt good in the cool air this morning! I had a crew all the way from Oregon today, talk about pressure. We left out of Tamarac at 5:30 this morning and only 1 of the 4 of these dudes had ever caught a catfish. We caught a total of 13 fish today with 3 decent flatheads and they wanted some eaters so we switched gears and made it happen!!  That Moon, high water, cold front etc had them more scattered than waffle house hashbrowns, but we got it done. Thanks again fellas for hanging out with me today.</div>

<div>Had Dustin Newell  and crew out with me today. Started out at 3am getting bait which was super easy. 8ft-18ft was best Gizzard shad and white Perch were bait.  Stop number one already had me realizing we were gonna have to cover some ground and find feeding fish today. We ended the day with 10 fish in the boat a handful of Take downs we wish would have hooked up, but that's why we go fishing!! Fishing the last month or so has not been bad, looking forward to fall. Highrock Lake NC

Man some days the fish gods are on your side and some days they challenge you to put in the effort to have a great day. I met Blake and Sean Starling for a daytime trip yesterday. Sean wanted to help catch bait and learn what I did so they met me at 4am to help toss the net, he did a great job,  we set out after bait( shad and perch) to fish a pattern that had been producing over the last several trips. We'll things changed and we covered a lot of water we managed 8 fish with a mix of Flats, Blues and Channels, toward the end of our trip we hooked into a tank, Sean caught that boy for a few minutes and bam line got cut and he was gone. That fish had the rod pegged..man heartbreak.  Thanks for coming fellas nice to meet you all!!<div><br></div><div>This weather this week should get these fish fired up!! Looking forward to getting out!!</div>

Man today ( for the most part) was as about as great a trip as you could ask for. Max and his family were in from Ohio staying on the Lake. We met at 5:30 at the Tamarac. Max, his son and his two boys put a hurting on the fish today, we stopped counting at 40. For a minute I thought are trip was gonna be cut short after a jab to my foot by Mr Blue Cat,  stopped the bleeding, wrapped that bad boy up and we kept Fishing!! We caught in every spot we fished in spite of my Trolling Motor batteries dying( bad lithium charger). I was determined to show these guys a good time even with the hurdles!! We sent all out big fish back to be caught another day and sent Max and crew home with some for a few fish fries!!<div><br></div><div>Bait was shad/perch in 12ft or less.</div><div><br></div><div>Max and crew thanks for an awesome day of fishing and being patient at times!!</div>
